UPPSC has released Advertisement No. A-3/E-1/2026 under the Miscellaneous Examination for 37 posts, including Architectural Assistant and Estate Manager in the UP Housing and Development Board, and Microbiologist in the Food Safety and Drug Administration Department. One Time Registration (OTR) is mandatory before applying.

What this recruitment is, and who it is really for

UPPSC has advertised 37 posts under Advertisement A-3/E-1/2026, spread across two very different departments. It is filed under the Miscellaneous Examination, which makes it sound like a general graduate recruitment. It is not.

Two of the three posts require documented professional experience. If you are a fresh graduate looking for any government job, only one of these posts is realistically open to you. Read the eligibility carefully before you pay the fee. This is the single most common way candidates waste money on UPPSC miscellaneous advertisements.

The three posts

The first two sit with the Housing and Development Board, which builds and manages housing schemes across Uttar Pradesh. The third sits with Food Safety and Drug Administration, the department that tests food samples and acts on adulteration cases.

• Microbiologist: 12 posts, Food Safety and Drug Administration Department

Eligibility: where most applicants fall out

Architectural Assistant requires design-related drawing experience, two or three years depending on which qualification route you come through. A diploma or degree alone is not enough; the experience has to be documented.

Microbiologist requires three years of experience in food microbiological testing. Laboratory experience in a different field does not substitute for it.

Estate Manager is the only post open on a plain graduation basis, with no experience requirement. Those 11 posts will therefore attract by far the largest number of applicants, and the cut-off will reflect that.

Age limit

Candidates must be between 21 and 40 years as on 1 July 2026, that is, born no earlier than 2 July 1986 and no later than 1 July 2005.

Relaxation applies for reserved and special categories under Uttar Pradesh government rules. If you claim relaxation, record the governing rule or order in the application form itself; claiming it without that detail is a routine cause of rejection at document verification.

Important dates

Do not leave it to the final two days. The UPPSC portal slows noticeably as the deadline approaches, and a failed payment on the last evening cannot be rescued afterwards.

One Time Registration is compulsory

You cannot submit this form without completing OTR on the UPPSC portal first. Your OTR number is the only registration identity the Commission uses across all its advertisements.

Complete OTR before you start the application, and check every detail in it. Some OTR fields cannot be edited once your application for this advertisement is generated, and the Commission does not accept correction requests afterwards.

Application fee

The fee is category-wise. Reported figures differ between sources, so check the fee table inside the official advertisement rather than relying on any summary, including this one. Pay only through the payment methods listed on the UPPSC portal.

• Keep experience certificates ready in the exact form the advertisement specifies
• Complete and verify OTR first
